SERVICES AT THE CENTRE

Through effective partnerships with health related organizations, interpreter services and settlement service organizations Vasantham has expanded its range of services. Apart from health education and elder abuse, referrals related to housing and settlement issues, Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), mental health, physical health, domestic violence and substance dependence are also offered. Translation and interpretation, home visits and information and referral services are ongoing. Outreach activities include informal meetings at seniors’ homes to determine their needs, promoting access to information and resources through the radio, television and ethnic newspapers.
